Thomas Wilby Gang

“upbeat, foot-stomping Americana – taking in slide blues, country and southern rock on the journey in their metaphorical battered Buick” – Leeds Music Scene

Named after the 19th century mayor of Ossett Town, Thomas Wilby Gang formed in 2012. After quickly landing some high profile support gigs and local festival slots, they decided to ease off gigging and self-produce their debut album “Backwoods Crackin” in January 2016. BBC Introducing were all over this and plugged the album launch.

Thomas Wilby Gang play original material influenced by classic blues, country-blues, rock and gospel and are highly influenced by traditional American genres. With airplay in the USA, they’ve recently secured a small distribution deal with a New Jersey record label.

Check these guys out, I know we’re excited to be showcasing this unique sound at Oxjam Leeds this year
