Based in North Shields, Jay Simian and the Midnight Society claim to be a new style indie rock hip hop hybrid mixing the two to create a unique free spirited vibe. Claiming they don’t fit into any one category in music they’ve fans of indie and rap music. Don’t believe them? Get your ears around their album Simian Child Vol1.
The air time on BBC Introducing Newcastle, their online presence and a summer packed full of gigs has resulted in a huge following. They’re massively grateful to their fanbase and hope to build on that following at Oxjam Leeds 2016.
